International Entertainment Awards Calendar, 2021/2022 (Oscar’s to Grammy’s)

I am a Huge Fan of Award Ceremonies, from Red Carpet to Acceptance speaches being my Favourite parts.

I have realised that after the covid19 Pandemic, the International and local Entertainment industry is back in Full-Swing. With Films and shows resuming there schedules..

It is only natural that award shows will follow suit

The first Event will be:

The Emmy Awards on 22nd of November 2021. (this show honours TV shows and Web Series around the world)

The Peoples Choice Awards will be held on 7th of December 2021 (The People’s Choice Awards is an American awards show, recognizing people in entertainment, voted online by the general public and fans)

The Golden Globes will air on the 9th of January 2022 (The Golden Globe Awards are accolades bestowed by the 87 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association recognizing excellence in both American and international film and television.)

The Grammy Awards will air on the 31st of January 2022 (The Grammy Award, or just Grammy, is an award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize achievement in the music industry. The trophy depicts a gilded gramophone. The Grammys are the first of the Big Three networks’ major music awards held annually. The Grammy is considered one of the four major annual American entertainment awards, along with the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, and the Tony Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAS) on the 13th February 2022 (The EE British Academy Film Awards or BAFTA Film Awards are presented in an annual award show hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts to honour the best British and international contributions to film)

The Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held on the 27th of February 2022 (SAG Awards have been one of the major awards events in Hollywood since 1995. Nominations for the awards come from two committees, one for film and one for television, each numbering 2100 members of the union, randomly selected anew each year, with the full membership (165,000 as of 2012) available to vote for the winners. It is considered an indicator of success at the Academy Awards in acting categories)

The 94th Academy Awards will be held on the 28th of March 2022 in Los Angeles California. (The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, are awards for artistic and technical merit in the film industry. They are regarded as the most prestigious and significant awards in the entertainment industry worldwide. Given annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the awards are an international recognition of excellence in cinematic achievements, as assessed by the Academy’s voting membership.)

These exciting award ceremonies are back in Full Swing, and I will be writing a blog of my personal ZA MAN views of the Men’s Styles on the Red Carpet

Before the 19th century, breeds of dogs (other than lap dogs) were largely functional. They performed activities such as hunting, tracking, watching, protecting and guarding; and language describing the dog often reflected these roles. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, “In the oldest proverbs and phrases dogs are rarely depicted as faithful or as man’s best friend, but as vicious, ravening, or watchful.” Beginning in the 18th century, multiplying in the 19th and flourishing in the 20th century, language and attitudes towards dogs began to shift.

Though domestic dogs share 99% of their DNA with wolves, dogs exude warmth to other dogs and humans that contrasts greatly with a wolf’s skeptical and defensive reaction to others. Dogs are social pack animals who thrive off of attention and affection, making them a prime candidate for a person’s best friend.💕❤️💕

About 5% to 10% of enquiries are currently from foreign buyers, says David Burger of Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Seeff’s Ross Levin estimates that about 33% of its luxury sales are to foreign buyers, predominantly from Germany and Europe.

But anecdotally, the number of big spenders is smaller. Golding estimates that nationally, foreign buyers comprise only around 1% of total luxury sales to foreign buyers at any given time period.

Some of the most notable big-ticket recent purchases include a sale by Pam Golding Properties, which sold a home in Clifton on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard purchased “sight unseen” by an American for R30 million, and a penthouse in the V&A Marina which fetched R41 million, also acquired by a US buyer.

Pam Golding Property group also says it recently sold several homes in the R20 million to R30 million price band in one month alone in Sandhurst and Hyde Park, Johannesburg. But half of these recent acquisitions were by locals, with the balance to foreign buyers – predominantly from the rest of the African continent.

In December 2020 a Clifton beach bungalow was sold for R37 million to an Emirati buyer from Dubai.

Golding says foreigners do buy across all price sectors, and do so for a variety of reasons, ranging from leisure use to occasional use for business purposes. There are also returning expats, retirees, and
